NHL: ‘We’re going to continue to play with these teams that have great coaches’

The NHL is preparing to play a preseason game at the Madison Square Garden, the New York Rangers announced Friday.

The game is slated for Wednesday, Aug. 28, and is the first of three in the preseason.

The Rangers are scheduled to play the Detroit Red Wings, Philadelphia Flyers and Florida Panthers at Madison Square Gardens on Wednesday, Sept. 3, the team announced.

The first preseason game will be at the Garden on Oct. 19.

The Rangers play six games in three days.

The NHL will open its preseason schedule on Monday, Sept 1.

The season is set to open on Sept. 24, which will be the first day of the NHL’s first exhibition season.
