Posted March 07, 2019 14:01:55 The world is home to software engineers, the people who build software for websites and other platforms, and they’re the biggest earners in the world, according to a new report from the Software Engineering Institute.

The institute, which tracks the salaries of software engineers worldwide, found that software engineers made $5 million annually last year, with a median wage of $65,000.

That’s the same median wage for the software engineering workforce as a whole, which includes programmers, engineers and designers, according the institute.

The median salary for software engineers was $57,600, and the median salary was $68,100 for the computer science and math disciplines.

The top 10 percent of software engineering workers made an average of $76,500 a year.

The U.S. ranked No. 1 in terms of software engineer salaries in 2019, with an average wage of just over $80,000, according a survey conducted by Gartner.

Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Russia and South Korea were also among the top 10 countries in terms and median wages for software engineering, according Gartners.

Software engineers are also among America’s top tech jobs, the report found.

While the overall average salary for the U.K. software engineering industry was $82,100 in 2019 as of December, it’s surpassed $90,000 in 2016 and 2017, according.

Software engineering has been growing in popularity, the institute found.

In 2017, the software engineer population surpassed 2 million, and by 2021, the number of software developers was expected to reach 5.2 million.

Software developers make up nearly 60 percent of the software workforce, with some making more than $100,000 a year and some making as much as $200,000 per year, the IT firm said.

The report said that the average salary of a software engineer is between $65K and $80K, with the median pay being $65.10K.

The software engineering world has evolved over the years from the days of a handful of companies, the study found.

The number of startups, as well as the number and quality of software companies, has increased in the last decade, as companies like Dropbox, Microsoft, Amazon, Netflix and Netflix have grown and expanded their services, the paper said.

In 2018, more than 5,000 new software developers were created, and another 2,500 people joined the workforce, the survey said.

Companies like Microsoft and Twitter also saw strong growth in software developer employees, and in 2019 the tech giant reported a 5.4 percent increase in software engineering jobs.
